June 21, 2022 - Reggie Hill appointed vice chancellor for strategic enrollment
Dear UMSL Faculty and Staff,
As you know, our UMSL community came together in late 2019 to begin in a yearlong process to develop our university’s first-ever strategic enrollment management plan focused on long-term enrollment growth and aligning our efforts to meet the educational, financial and material needs of our students and university. Though the pandemic delayed our implementation timeline, we are now actively engaged in this five-year plan to bring a collaborative, holistic, data-informed and action-focused approach to enrollment management.
We feel that enrollment and retention growth must remain a top priority for UMSL as we look to the future of not only our university, but the very bright futures of the outstanding students we serve. To that end, Reggie Hill has been appointed as UMSL’s first Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment, effective July 1. In this role, he will oversee and lead broad-based initiatives to strengthen enrollment outcomes across the university and within individual units, schools and colleges. This will include the transition of UMSL Athletics to report to the vice chancellor level to effectively align our strategic student-athlete recruitment and retention efforts.
Please join us in welcoming Reggie into his new role as we collectively work to welcome, engage and support students throughout their academic journey – and as we bring, retain and ultimately transform UMSL students into UMSL graduates.
Sincerely,
Kristin Sobolik
