Kaylin joined UMSL's Criminology and Criminal Justice Ph.D. program in 2015 after earning her M.A. in the same program. She received her Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her research interests include crime trends, violent crime, and minority populations, especially issues concerning LGBT communities and crime.
