Ellie is a PhD student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UMSL. She holds bachelor's degrees in Criminology & Criminal Justice and Psychology from Marquette University. Prior to joining the doctoral program in 2021, Ellie worked as a Court Operations Associate in the State of Minnesota District Courts. Her research interests include courts, judicial decision making, and subsequent case outcomes. She is currently working on a project that assesses the use of remote videoconferencing technology on detention decisions and case outcomes.
