What is it?
The Graduate Certificate in Business Foundations is a 12-credit-hour program that can be completed in as few as two semesters (taking 6 credit hours per semester) or up to four semesters (taking 3 credit hours per semester). It is designed for non-business major students and working professionals who aspire to move into entry- to mid-level management roles in business and government organizations. In addition, this certificate program fulfills 4 course requirements for the MBA, so it’s a great way to build knowledge and credentials while considering further graduate studies.
Throughout the program, students will be exposed to core business functions and contemporary business administration frameworks needed to be successful in a variety of fields. This is a robust program incorporating aspects of finance, management, communication, information systems, supply chains, accounting, law, ethics and financial management. Upon completion, students will have gained knowledge of core common business practices and corporate procedures that will help them succeed in modern business environments.
