Scott is the Director of the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center and Assistant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship in the College of Business Administration. He has spent 30 years dedicated to helping various employers develop and implement scaling strategies that have led to significantly better than market growth rates. During his tenure, three employers more than doubled revenue and one quadrupled revenue. His experiences are in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Development, Mergers and Acquisition, Marketing, and Division President roles. He has served in various B2B and B2C industries including software, manufactured components, specialty chemicals, and technology. He has worked for four private equity-owned businesses, assisted in the sale of three employers, and been part of two IPOs. Most recently, Scott led global Corporate Development & Strategy, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, at Xplor Technologies. Prior to Xplor, Scott was SVP of Strategy & Marketing at Bull Moose Industries and served as a Division President at Filtration Group Corporation. He also led the turnaround of Solutia Inc.’s film division as VP / General Manager where he started an electronic components business that grew from $0 to over $100 million in revenue. Additionally, he started an International Sales and Marketing team for a specialty surfactant manufacturer in Indianapolis and spent six years in New York City in Strategy and Business Development creating three new business groups while working for a Japanese trading company.
Scott has a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University, an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and DBA from the University of Missouri St. Louis.
