Jamillah Boyd is an Associate Teaching Professor of Information Systems & Technology at the College of Business Administration at the University of Missouri-St Louis. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Educational Practice, a Master of Education in Adult & Higher Education, and a BIS with emphases in business administration and information systems from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. She also holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Missouri. Before joining the Information Systems and Technology faculty full-time, she served as senior project coordinator and adjunct faculty of information systems at the University of Missouri –St. Louis College of Business Administration.
Dr. Boyd is committed to the advancement and development of students. She serves as co-chair for UMSL’s Information System & Technology Advisory Board’s Community and Economic Development Workgroup. She is the faculty advisor to UMSL’s Information Systems & Technology Mentoring Club. She also serves the university as principal investigator for the Missouri Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (MOLSAMP) program and is a member of the MOLSAMP Innovation Team. She was recognized for her service with the 2019-2020 UMSL IS&T Excellence in Service Award. Dr. Boyd’s external service includes the AnitaB.org Board of Trustees.
