The Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology

This STEM-designated Graduate Certificate in Financial Technology is a 15-credit-hour program that can be completed in as little as two semesters (taking 6 credit hours per semester) or up to four semesters (taking 3 credit hours per semester). This program designed to sharpen tools for both finance professionals at all levels and other professionals who are interested in seeking specialized training in finance and enhancing their knowledge and skills in Fintech and data analytics.
Throughout the program, students will study traditional financial disciplines while also being exposed to newer technologies including blockchain, cryptocurrencies, AI, machine learning, big data, robo advisers and algorithmic trading.

Course Requirements
Two required courses:
  • FIN 6570: Essentials of Fintech
  • FIN 6576: Application of Blockchain in Financial Services Industry
And choose three of the following:
  • FIN 6503: Computer Applications in Finance

  • FIN 6524: Portfolio Analysis and Management
  • FIN 6572: Financial Data Analytics
  • FIN 6574: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Finance
