EIC Anchor Accelerator

We’re going further, faster, together!

The team behind the UMSL Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (UMSL EIC) has been hard at work tailoring V2.0 of our Anchor Accelerator to better serve the hundreds of entrepreneurs throughout St. Louis who are building businesses and growing the regional economy.

Starting with the Fall 2024 semester, UMSL EIC’s Anchor Accelerator offers three avenues for advancing growth:

  • Advance the skills you need to scale your business by taking only the business workshop(s) that help you hone specific strategies and solutions. Complete all five business workshops to receive an Entrepreneurship Certificate, leveling up your prowess as a Founder, and gaining a guaranteed spot on the PitchFest roster.

  • Compete for equity-free funding at PitchFest where *$150,000 in grants will be awarded to the region’s fiercest Founders. Guarantee access through an Entrepreneurship Certificate, or apply for a spot.
    *Individual grant amounts: $50,000, $25,000, $10,000.

  • Build your network by attending one of UMSL EIC’s many events including Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, the Student Pitch Competition, Entrepreneur Club (for undergrad students), and more.

Business workshops are accessible to any level of Founder, and specifically designed for businesses that are at least two years old, earning $50,000 or more in annual revenue, starting to hire a professional team of employees, and thinking about raising growth capital.
