What is it?

The Graduate Certificate in Accounting Data Analytics is a 12-credit-hour program that can be completed in as few as two semesters (taking 6 credit hours per semester) or up to four semesters (taking 3 credit hours per semester). The program is designed for students and working professionals seeking to develop expertise in data analytics applied to the accounting profession.

Students who recently completed their undergraduate studies can use this certificate program to prepare for the CPA examination and attach in-demand credentials to their resume ensuring they are competitively positioned for employment contributing to the audit, tax, and services group at CPA firms, or in the data analysis group in business, healthcare, government or academic institution. Working professionals seeking to upgrade their professional qualification will acquire these important, new, highly sought-after skills.

The program places an emphasis on application of accounting data analysis tools to solve business problems. Throughout the program, students will learn data management, modeling, cleaning and analysis skills while gaining hands-on experience developing solutions to real world problems using all relevant technologies including Excel, Power BI, Tableau, various audit data analytic technologies, R and Python.
