Mr. Harry K. Ratliff is a Vice-President and Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lych of Clayton, where he provides financial investment advisory services to institutions, families, and businesses. He works with clients to develop and implement a comprehensive investment strategy focused on the diversification of their investment assets. He works to balance risk tolerance, liquidity requirements, investment policy, and cash flow in order to achieve a client's financial goals.
Mr. Ratliff received his undergraduate BSBA degree from the University of Missouri - St. Louis, and has done graduate work in finance at Webster University. While studying at UMSL, Mr. Ratliff began his business career in 1969 as co-founder of The 420 Corporation, an advertising and sales promotion firm. After graduating, he continued to manage the business until 1979, at which point he became a sales representative for Bristol Labs of St. Louis. After working for four years at Bristol, Mr. Ratliff joined the Clayton office of Merrill Lynch in 1982. Mr. Ratliff is also a licensed security broker with the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD), and licensed in insurance. Harry has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Executive Education. Harry has been awarded the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation awarded byt he Investment Management Consultants Association. The CIMA Program, offered by the Investment Management Consultants Association in conjunction with the Wharton School of Business, focuses primarily on the quality of consulting and the effectiveness of consultants in the managed money arena.
Harry is an active volunteer in the St. Louis community, and has served on numerous local, state, and national nonprofit boards, including the Mid-County YMCA, the American Diabetes Association, United Christian Missionary Society, Tougaloo College, the People's Health Center, and Grace Hill Settlement House. Additionally, he is a Trustee of the Pension Fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is currently on the board of Christian Hospital and the St. Louis Public School Foundation. Harry is also an active member of FOCUS St. Louis and the Investment Management Consultants Association. Harry has been recognized by The St. Louis Business Journal as a 2009 Inclusion Leader.
Mr. Ratliff has two adult children, Geoffrey and Jennifer.
