  • Keep tabs on your degree progress (MyDegree)
  • Complete prerequisites for upper level courses
  • Explore minors and certificates that would complement your goals
  • Network with faculty in your major area to learn about opportunities, like research, that are specific to your department

For Undeclared Majors

  • Visit the Career Center website and research careers
  • Create a resume and upload it into Handshake
  • Attend Career Fairs
  • Explore Graduate School or Professional degrees, such as Law, Medicine, or Optometry, so your academic plan can include prerequisites for these programs.

For International Students

  • If you change your major or program, contact UMSL Global to update your I-20
  • Report any change of address within 10 days (through MyView)
  • Consult an international student advisor before accepting an internship or job off-campus
  • Maintain full time enrollment unless you have received prior approval from ISS
  • Consider serving as a leader at International Student Orientation
