Endowments provide permanent sources of income for a college, professorship, program, scholarship or other initiative. Agreements between donors and the Curators of the University of Missouri dictate the management and spending of the fund in perpetuity.
The UMSL Scholarship Fund, established in 2009, provides for the university's most compelling needs. It allows UMSL to compete for top faculty, attract strong students, provide for those with financial need, support innovative research and leverage new opportunities.
