The University of Missouri–St. Louis grants credit hours to entering freshmen who, through their performance on College Entrance Examination Board Advanced Placement Tests, demonstrate proficiency in certain college-level courses such as biology, chemistry, English, foreign languages, history, mathematics, political science, and physics. Effective on scores dated January 2022 and greater.
The examinations are administered in high schools during May of each year, are graded on a scale of 1-5 by national committees, and are furnished to the University of Missouri-St. Louis upon the student's request. In order to be eligible for credit, students must score 3 or higher. Advanced standing may be earned as indicated below:
