My main interests include vector ecology, parasitology and medical entomology. I'm interested in how vector ecology influences disease transmission patterns and dynamics. My M.S. thesis project aims to identify vector populations of Plasmodium in the Galapagos Islands, while describing the occurences of 2 resident mosquito species along and altitudinal gradient. These factors, as well as feeding habits and seasonal population trends, have been shown to influence vector-born disease risk in other systems.
