Group Activity 3 Grading rubric: 70 points total
Within Group Communication:
15 points (I expect to see a “vibrant” group discussion—multiple
messages and interactions across multiple days).
Individual work (25 points):
a discussion posted as a separate page in your group wiki linked to (and from)
your personal page in the wiki, and linked from the group activity 3 page.
- Research and data collection:
10
- Analysis and discussion of key
features and sociological concerns of chosen substantive area with a focus
on implications for social policy: 10 points
- Use of wiki space (images, relevant
links, etc.) and overall analysis and presentation: 5 points (spelling and
grammar, cogency, references, relevant conclusions)
Group work (30 points):
an analysis, based on individual work and discussion posted as your group activity
3 page, with links to individual group member contributions.
- Integrated theoretical analysis
of substantive area based on data collected and analysis by individual group
members: 5 points
- Analysis and discussion of key
features and sociological concerns of chosen substantive area with a focus
on implications for social policy: 5 points
- Use of wiki space (images, relevant
links, etc.) and overall analysis and presentation (spelling and grammar,
cogency, references, relevant conclusions): 5 points
- In-class Group Presentation: 15
