Welcome to the Neural Substrates of Language Lab!

The Neural Substrates of Language (NSL) lab is part of the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Missouri – St Louis. You can find us in rooms 408 and 409 of Stadler Hall. Our research focuses on individual differences in reading and language and the neural correlates of different reading processes. We use behavioral techniques (computer experiments) and Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) to answer questions about how different people read.

The lab is led by Dr. Suzanne Welcome and includes graduate students and undergraduate research assistants from the UMSL Psychology department. To learn more about the lab, please use the links above!
