This is a meeting designed for incoming students and current students and faculty who are interested on being on the Colleges Against Cancer Committee and helping to fight back against cancer. Prospects will be able to discover what CAC is all about along with what they can do to help. Snacks will be provided. |
| Relay For Life Kick-Off |

Kick-Off is an event to "kick-off" the start of fundraising and publicity for the next Relay For Life. The theme for the next Relay is also announced and various activities related to the theme also take place. |
| Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk |

This a community breast cancer walk. It is not held on UMSL's campus. The CAC Committee usually has a team, but we invite all students, faculty, and staff to be a part of this walk. |
| Great American Smoke Out |

The Great American Smoke Out (GASO) is always held in November, which is lung cancer awareness month. It is a push to get current smokers to give up smoking for two days, hoping that those two days will turn into two weeks and hopefully forever. |
| Protect Your Balls Dodgeball |

Protect Your Balls is a Dodgeball Tournament held in December, which is testicular cancer awareness month. Students, faculty, and staff can register a team of 6 players for a small price. Proceeds go to benefit UMSL Relay For Life. |

Our Mini RFL Kick-Off is an event to remind students when they return to campus from winter break that Relay For Life is getting closer. The Mini Kick-Off may also include activities related to the theme. The Mini Kick-Off also has a bigger push for registering and luminaria sales. |

Kiss Away Cancer occurs on Valentine's Day. Students, faculty or staff can pay $1 to kiss or be kissed from one of the many volunteers in our kissing booth. Then they will receive a sticker stating that they "Kissed Away Cancer." |
| Paint Everything Purple Rally |

The Paint Everything Purple Rally is where Colleges Against Cancer adopts a sporting event. We sell t-shirts and give our spirit items. At half-time, a survivor tells their inspirational story. Since this is a month before our biggest event, there is a huge push for fundraising, luminaria sales, and team registration. Donations are accepted. |

Paint the Campus Purple Month used to be called Paint the Campus Purple Week, but we have decided to extend it to increasely rally up excitemnt for Relay an entire month before the big event. Each week more and more purple will be added all over the campus so it is impossible to not notice it. |

Relay For Life is CAC's biggest event and UMSL's largest fundraising event. The event is 12 hours long and overnight, symbolizing that cancer nevers sleep, so neither should we. Teams have their own fundraisers and various activities go on throughout the night. There are ceremonies for the three pillars of Relay: Celebrate, Remember, and Fight Back. Got Brain? occurs during May, which is brain cancer awareness month. This event happens right before finals week. Students can take a break from studing and try their luck at some fun trivia and snacks.8 |
