Create one Latin sentence out of the following pairs by making the second sentence (a statement of fact as is) into a purpose clause. Give ut or ne and the correct form of the verb in the purpose clause (don't write out the rest of the clause).
Example:
magister Graecas litteras docuit. discipuli eas legere poterant. Answer: ut possent: ut because it is positive, not negative, and possent because the main verb is a past tense, requiring imperfect subjunctive in the purpose clause.
