This allows students to attend our programs without living on campus. Ninety percent of UMSL students commute to the university and have access to a vast commuter support system. Students enrolled in the UMSL Succeed commuter program are entitled to the same resource.
The Office of Inclusive Post Secondary Education (OIPE) is dedicated to empowering students with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing inclusive opportunities and fostering self-determination skills grounded across four pillars: Live, Learn, Work, and Play.
Through active collaboration with diverse campus and community partners and a holistic approach to student supports, we envision a college experience where our students can live independently, learn in a supportive and inclusive environment, find secure meaningful employment, and be successfully immersed in a rich social climate.
Our programs, Succeed, Succeed+, and Link, encourage and develop pathways toward self-determination and independence. We provide one-on-one student support, guided by four key pillars:
The Succeed Program received approval from the United States Department of Education as a Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary Program (CTP). As a CTP program, students who qualify may receive federal financial aid in the form of the Federal Pell Grant, and the Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant. Succeed Students must fill out the FASFA in order to determine eligibility.
