Turnitin is a citation verification service that helps educators and students ensure that content in written documents is cited properly. Papers submitted to Turnitin may be compared against billions of Internet documents, archived Internet data that is no longer available on the live web, a local repository of previously submitted papers, and subscription repository of periodicals, journals, and publications.
Effective Fall Semester 2011, Turnitin will be available exclusively through the Online Writing Lab; students can submit their own papers directly to Turnitin through the Lab if they choose.
Students can click on the Online Writing Lab module via the Writing Lab. After that they will find instructions on how to use Turnitin and where to submit their papers.
