This virtual exhibit represents the first collaboration between the Woodcock Museum and the St. Louis Mercantile Library at the University of Missouri - St. Louis.

This exhibition was organized by the Mercantile Library to celebrate the role in which St. Louis nurtured the art of the West for generations, helping depict and document American visions and perceptions for the special Western landscape and its varied peoples and lives.

We urge you to view the physical exhibit at the St. Louis Mercantile Library from November 20, 2000 - January 31, 2001 in the Library's galleries.
