Dr. Pan receives another Cybersecurity grant from National Security Agency (NSA)

The National Security Agency (NSA) recently awarded Dr. Pan nearly $200,000 for developing a Cybersecurity core curriculum on the emerging impact of edge cloud on Internet of Things (IoT) systems.

With this award, Dr. Pan would be able to focus on developing in-depth knowledge and hands-on modules on the cutting edge topics of the threats and defense of edge cloud and wireless IoT systems. The new curriculum will build off the existing efforts in Cybersecurity curricula and a preliminary hands-on testbed in the Dr. Pan's research lab.

Dr. Pan says the upgraded research testbed and the curriculum to be developed will enhance the UMSL's Cybersecurity program in both research and education capabilities. It will also benefit other institutes and the nationwide Cybersecurity community in fulfilling the goals of educating and preparing Cybersecurity workforce better to fill Federal Government Cybersecurity positions.
