Library Services


The University Libraries offer many services to help with your education and research needs:

Circulation: Information on checking books out of the Libraries.

MERLIN / MOBIUS Loans: Borowing books from other Missouri colleges and universities.

Interlibrary Loan: Request journal articles UMSL does not have and books not available through MERLIN & MOBIUS.

Reserves: Find items (books, CDs, DVDs, etc.) your professor(s) placed in the library for students to use for your class.

Faculty Services: Library instruction classes, department liaisons, setting up reserve items, and other services for faculty members & instructors.

Library Research Commons (Computer Labs)

Reserve a Study Room: See which study/video rooms are available today and reserve one for yourself or your group.

Library Laptops:  The Thomas Jefferson Library has a number of laptops available for in-library use.

Distance Education: For students not attending classes on campus.

Services for Patrons with Disabilities: Services for students, staff and faculty with disabilties.

Refreshments: Coffee and other beverages are available along with selected food items at Café TJ in the Thomas Jefferson Library. The cafe is located just inside the main entrance on level 3. More information is available at Sodexo's web site: Café TJ.
