Our proposal to begin Phase-1 of the new Optometry building was approved by a unanimous vote of the Board of Curators. It is a historic development for the College of Optometry. The new Patient Care Center, located along Natural Bridge Road just north of Marillac Hall, will provide UMSL an opportunity to better serve the health care needs of north county. The center will also provide UMSL faculty across several disciplines including gerontology, nursing, optometry and social work a place to more fully integrate interprofessional education into their respective programs.
Many made the trip to Columbia, Missouri in order to witness the deliberations and action by the Board.
