The creation of synergistic partnerships, both on-campus and externally is a part of the core values and mission of the College of Fine Arts and Communication. Six endowed professorships link the College to world-class fine arts institutions and the St. Louis Community.
In addition to the endowed professorship program, the College of Fine Arts and Communication is an educational partner with the public and parochial schools in the Saint Louis metropolitan area, through our undergraduate and graduate programs in music education, and other collaborative educational ventures involving the Communication, and Art and Art History Departments.
The College of Fine Arts and Communication is a provider of skilled professionals in the areas of Art, Communication, Theatre, Dance, and Media Studies, as well as Music.
In addition, the College provides an important component of the general education of UMSL graduates in all disciplines. The University of Missouri-St. Louis serves the region's needs through research and technology transfer, cooperative and educational outreach programs, and workforce development.
