The UMSL MFA Program is a juggernaut, garnering 28 books by alums, and consistently gathering awards for the faculty. Mary Troy recently received two awards, the Governor’s Award for teaching and the President’s Award for citizenship and leadership. Shane Seely received the Gitner Award last year, and the faculty is hard at work on the next books.

Natural Bridge, according to Troy, is getting “better than ever, better all the time, especially in terms of subscriptions and quality.” Jennifer Goldring, former poet laureate of UMSL, recently finished her tenure as editor. The latest issue can be previewed here.
