Advanced Placement

 

The University of Missouri-St. Louis grants credit hours to entering freshmen who, through their performance on College Entrance Examination Board Advanced Placement Tests, demonstrate proficiency in certain areas.  The examinations are administered in high schools during May of each year, are graded on a scale of 1-5 by national committees, and are furnished to the University of Missouri-St. Louis upon the student's request.  In order to be eligible for credit, students must score 3 or higher.  Advanced standing may be earned as indicated below:

** Student must score a 4 or 5 to receive credit.

*** For students scoring a 4 or 5 in any foreign language/language component, the equivalency of three hours of 2101 is appropriate.  Students scoring a 4 0r 5 on the foreign language/literature component with receive credit for 2180.

**** A score of 4 or 5 is needed to receive credit for 10 hours; otherwise, it is only 3 hours with a score of 3.
