Sam joined the Office of Recruitment Services in August of 2007. He currently represents the University in St. Louis County and Northeast Missouri. In 2002, Sam graduated from the Pierre Laclede Honors College at UMSL with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. In 2006, he earned a Master of Arts degree in History from Washington University.
When he is not busy singing UMSL's praises across Missouri, Sam enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys reading and taking full advantage of the many cultural opportunities in St. Louis. Sam would like to be remembered as the youngest Nobel laureate to circumnavigate the globe in a canoe, but is not.

Where would you go if you could study abroad? I had a great time doing research in the United Kingdom and recommend it highly.
What advice do you have for entering Freshmen? If there are clubs or student groups associated with your major and minor, get involved with them. I did, and it made the whole college experience much more interesting for me.
