Deanna joined the Office of Admissions in August 2013, having worked previously at UMSL in multiple student roles. She represents UMSL in West County (STL), East Central MO, and Southwest MO.
Deanna received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UMSL in 2009, and will be receiving her Master of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs Leadership from UMSL in December 2013. Between her degrees at UMSL, Deanna worked as an elementary and middle school teacher for the Teach for America organization, a national service program.
Throughout her time as a student at UMSL, Deanna was involved in several leadership roles and held multiple jobs on campus. At the professional level, she continues to be involved in committees and organizations that are dedicated to creating the best possible environment for students, faculty, and staff. As her own experience at UMSL has been top-notch, Deanna is excited to represent the university and cannot wait to meet with prospective students to discuss all that UMSL has to offer.
Deanna grew up close to St. Louis, is a huge fan of all of the St. Louis sports teams, and enjoys going to games and spending time exploring the many unique neighborhoods of the city. She also loves attending concerts and theater productions, and her favorite hobby is vacationing with her loved ones to new places. Deanna is extremely passionate about higher education and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experiences with students throughout her career.
