Darrick Curtis

Darrick joined the UMSL Admissions team in August of 2014.  He represents UMSL in Southwest Missouri, East Central Missouri, and West St. Louis County.

Darrick is also a proud UMSL alumnus, having received his Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2013.  As a student, Darrick was very involved in New Student Orientation, was a member of the Pierre Laclede Honors College student recruitment team, and served as a mentor for the Opportunity Scholars Program.

After graduating, Darrick went on to obtain his Class A POST License and is a licensed police officer in the State of Missouri.  However, the opportunity to represent UMSL in his home territory proved too great to pass up!

In his free time, Darrick enjoys camping, watching his favorite shows on Netflix, and enjoying all of the wonderful things St. Louis has to offer.

What is your favorite Triton sport?  I’m a big fan of UMSL Baseball.

Where would you go if you could study abroad?  I hear Italy is nice this time of year!

What advice do you have for entering freshmen?  Don’t write college off as just a transition between high school and your dream job.  Take the time to get involved, to make friends, and to try new things.  Make the most out of your time at the university, and you’ll leave satisfied and ready to take on a new adventure.
