Ameren Accelerator is a corporate accelerator program design to invest, mentor, and accelerate next generation clean energy technologies. Each year, 5 to 7 startups are selected to participate in this 12-week program that includes $100,000 in funding, mentorship, office space, programming, and direct engagement with Ameren Corporation.
Each year, 10 UMSL student from across campus are selected to intern for the Ameren Accelerator startup companies. Our interns don't grab coffee, they do meaningful work that will get them noticed. Students are paid to learn by doing, as they develop a variety of skills and witness first hand the inner workings of a startup.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
- Interest in clean energy and entrepreneurship
- Strong communication & writing skills
- Creative, flexible, & a self-starter
- Energetic & positive
- Out of the box thinking
- Open to learn new things
Weekly Hours
- 20 hours per week
Compensation
- $3,000 stipend (paid at the end of the internship)
- 3 credit hours towards your degree (restrictions apply)
- Access to CIC amenities (snacks, beverages, and a ping pong table!)

Am I eligible to apply?
Only UMSL students enrolled during the Fall 2019 semester are able are eligible for this internship. We encourage undergraduate and graduate students from all majors to apply.
What's the interview process like?
Applicants who advance to the interview round will participate in a 2 minute pitch interview. During the pitch interview, you will present to a panel of judges why your should be picked as an Ameren Accelerator Startup Interns.
Where will the internship take place?
The internship will take place at the 4240 building, located in the middle of the Cortex Innovation District. The address is CIC@4240, 4240 Duncan Ave, 2nd Floor, St. Louis, MO 63110.
Will I be able to work remotely?
It depends. Your assigned startup decided whether or not you can work remotely. In the past, most interns were able to work remotely for at least part of the internship.
